THE INITIATION
The Initiation is a journey through embroidery as a transformative practice.
It invites a shift from technique to perception... where working with material becomes a way to develop attention, sensitivity, and presence.
Through gesture and repetition, creation begins to reveal something beyond the visible.
The Path
This journey unfolds across seven levels, each opening a new way of engaging with the act of creating.
From the first encounter with the material to a more embodied and personal language, each stage deepens perception and refines the relationship between hand, rhythm, and intention.
The full path is currently being developed and will be revealed over time.
The Craft
At the heart of this initiation lies the transmission of tambour beading, also known as Lunéville embroidery.
This French haute couture technique; using a fine hook to apply beads and sequins... requires precision, rhythm, and control of gesture.
Within Manushya, this craftsmanship is not only preserved, but reinterpreted. It becomes a language through which technique and intuition are brought into balance.
Each initiation carries this dual intention: to honour the heritage of the craft, while opening it into a more personal and sensitive relationship to creation.

The Rose is the first threshold into this journey.
It is a moment to slow down and reconnect with the hand, approaching Lunéville embroidery with greater attention and sensitivity.
Rather than focusing solely on technique, it introduces a different way of creating... where presence and gesture take precedence.
This experience is designed for both beginners and those wishing to return to the essence of their practice.
